As a lifelong lover of retro, I always wanted to have the ability to create a time machine. The chance to take people back to a time they remember or to a time they wished they could have experienced. The chance to take people back to a time they long to remember or wished they could have experienced. Climb in my friend :) - Johnnyboy

@@Johnnyboy792 You're welcome.
:)
Nobody seems to be able to find the original Creature Feature opening.
I thought I nailed it... but whatever... Lou Steele was cool too :)
@@Johnnyboy792 It's fine--they just can't seem to dig up the actual one I saw as a kid '71-73. Lost tape, I guess.
My life as a kid.
Peanut Butter & Jelly Time :)
PRINCE & 'PURPLE RAIN' MOVIE - 1984 .....no mention!!!👎🏾
I was born in 1960 and some of these must have been regional or short-lived. I don't remember seeing Gumby or The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show mentioned.
Well they were around 1960 :)
Proposition 13 may have sounded good, but was a disaster!!!
Ya got that right... and there's been no stopping it :(
me too !!!! loved to watch the cartoons 73-76 i was a lil boy . during the week id was bugs bunny, porky pig and daffy duck , but saturday was different !!!!
The Best of times :)
Anthony!!!! We all got a kick out of that one for some reason. Elizabeth Montgomery, man, did I have a crush on her. I had completely forgotten about Bobby Sherman. My sister had pictures of him and later David Cassidy on her wall. I know I blacked out the teeth on one of em just because that's what little brothers did I suppose. My sister and I did see Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid at the theater. That old theater is still around. It was restored by a historical society and they show classic movies there I'm told. And the Galloping Gourmet. I had forgot about him too. My Dad was a blue-collar guy who worked on the docks, tough as nails, but he loved that show. And his spaghetti sauce was legendary in the neighborhood. It was a bit different each time because it also included a bottle of scotch for the cook. And then there was the Moon landing. That was the event of the decade for us Apollo kids. I remember sitting on the floor with my brother, both of us having our Lunar Module models with us. Well, mine was the cardboard version because he was great at putting models together and I pretty much sucked at it. The only thing missing was a shout-out to Abbey Road, the final Beatle album and a record that changed the way I listened to music and my life for that matter. I gave up my dreams of being an astronaut and was going to be a rock star! I started out as a drummer, until Dad got home the day I got my first drum kit and said, "oh hell no." Picked up the guitar after that. Bounced around the club scene for a bit until I finally got into my head that I wasn't going to be the next John Lennon. They had shot him by that time anyway so there was that aspect to throw a damper on it. Playing baseball and going to the amusement park down the street in the summer, football in the fall, street hockey and sledding at the golf course in the winter. To borrow from Archie, those were the days. It blows my mind it was so long ago. I feel for kids today who don't seem to dream big dreams like we did. Maybe it's because we don't do big things like the Moon mission, and now they are messing that all up as they try to recapture a past that ain't coming back. Cool vid. Nice trip down memory lane, to a time when I was still young enough to believe I could be, well damn near anything.
THERE ARE MANY WITH ALZHEIMER'S THAT JUST FOR A MOMENT RETURN AFTER HEARING SEEING OLD SONGS & SHOWS 🙏🏿❗😁/ BE CAREFUL IT CAN BE VERY TOUCHING ❤
27:20 Can you IMAGINE what kind of crap was in the "franks" that came in that version of Spaghettio's? Lips, snouts, and anal tissue!!!
I was a 1956 child, and these memories are precious! I was never bored and could make a million games out of nothing! But Saturday was strictly for TV! After cartoons, out I went to find fun in the sun or snow! We had only 4-5 channels. Jonny Quest!
Many thanks, Margaret I hope it brought a smile 😊😊😊
@Johnnyboy792 it did. Brought me right there. I did have some happy times. Things were simpler. Kids can't even play outside! I never came in! That's awful!

👏👏👏👏Thank you for the memories. I do have a question. Wasn’t there a character named Dangerous Dan? Kinda drawn liked the bird with Stohl
That might have been Diver Dan :)
Andy wasil was my grandfather.
As a little leaguer.. a friend of my fathers said to me one day in 1975... " Who do you think you are, Andy Wasil " ? I did the research from there. He was phenominal !!! Im happy a family member saw this :) Thanks for watching ! - Johnny
6 in 1966 I loved Saturday cartoons but then the Beatles music was a huge part of those days, I still love those cartoons

I was born in '67, and it's like taking a trip back in time. Thanks for posting this, and bringing back my childhood memories!
My pleasure... it was a labor of love... had no idea of the number of hits I'd get :)
Great blast from the past‼️ 🚀🥰
Thanks so much for watching
At home, or what have you. (It's the year I turned four.)
I was a regular on hot, muggy summer nights, with the Yankee game on with Phil Rizzuto, Bill White, and Frank Messer. Brought to you by Schaefer Beer. 📺 🍻 ⚾️
I was born in '71, hearing all these gives me such great memories. The kids now have no idea.
Many thanks C.C. :)
The Godzilla cartoon series ( Hanna Barbera version ) was Just as Thrilling as Jonny Quest. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
The 1960's, and Channel 11. Life for us kids, was great... these programs, took us into our teens... great memories.
I so agree... spent more hours on this local channel than all the prime times ! :)
Johnny Quest was the best ❤

I liked the fact that "The Green Hornet" was played Straight; "Bat-Man" (as much as I liked the Riddler) was really a Disappointment
Where was I? I was in Yokohama, not far away from where the Beatles performed. It was the year of Beatlemania and the Tokyo Olympics.
Back when 11 was ALIVE ...Today 11 is DEAD!!!
Honeymooners on the weekend though :)
Outa sight makin things light, lite bright!!
LOL 👌
Channel 5 only ran the color seasons of My Three Sons at first. So for a long while, I had only the vaguest inkling of who Mike and Bub even were.
That's the way I remember it ... when I saw Mike.. I said... " Who's that guy " ?
I don’t know how you got all of these clips together but god bless you for doing it. Love, an old 57 year old.
I have over 18k movies in my house. So I have all the old school cartoon's.❤
What a trip…..that went as fast as my 65 years…

I was a freshman in highschool. So much fun with friends and the music was everything!
Thanks for watching !!! :)
The start of an interesting decade.
Very Interesting ! :)
I was 9. That was a time to be a kid.
:)
I was 13, in 8th grade and having the time of my life in a small eastern PA town. My life revolved around sports, Saturday morning cartoons, still loving evening shows like Room 222, Lost in Space and the Mod Squad and loving Jackson 5 and early rock and Motown music, oh ofcourse school events and riding my bikes. If you were an elementary age or junior high age kid, this was the best time ever!
I was watching the honeymooners when they announced John Lennon was killed in the city. I was in queens. Thanks for the memories. I live in Los Angeles now and it sucks. Hardly any O.G. Original stock left on the streets. No even speaks English anymore…
Too sad :(
11:47 Before she was an Angel-- the beautiful Farrah Fawcett.
Always beautiful :)
At 04:40, wasnt Lucy like 50 or 60 years old? She looked amazing!
To get in WPIX, channel 11, you set both rabbit ears to the right, held them with your right hand, and put your left hand on the radiator cover.
Some to alotta of these makes me think that "wokeism" has been around since.!? CIA/FBI, FED, GLOBAL, UN, ETC...., you name it.!? We can only thank GOD that they're only in the very back of our minds.
64YRS of existence. (my life) This is it.!? This is the best we can do.!? Granted, no offense... Great memories for us Gen. Jones'ers.(post boomers) However, being that I've become much more WIZE, can't help but to realize the "marketing" and "CIA" and "Fed" and " Societal" Corruption. Please, for survival, stay aware..!
Just childhood memories Jeff... nothing more. Trust me I am aware :)
Always enjoy your throwback vids JB. Nobody does it better. Be well my friend and thanks for the memories.
Many thanks :)
The video brings up some of the dark events that happened in 1966, but as a 12-year-old living the life of Riley on a small island in the Pacific, things were looking much differently. It was long before I started having to worry about the draft and going to college and finding a job. Now, I'm a 70-year-old man who has done all that and has somehow managed to survive though about two layoffs, but what kept me going were those magical days I spent in 1966, obsessing about Batman, Peanuts, comic books, and slot cars.
Hope you had some great memories afterward 👍
Although 1966 is my favorite year of all time, 1970 is the close second. I was 16 and living in Okinawa. I think my father was in Vietnam almost the entire year. My greatest enjoyment of 1970 was going to the Expo 70 held in Osaka with about 40 other youngsters.
Just had to turn the old school antenna
